Brian Stann is an American hero. He earned a Silver Star after holding off insurgents for six days during an ambush in Iraq. Michael Bisping is the favorite.
These guys have a common opponent in Chael Sonnen. Chael manhandled Stann, Bisping lost a close (many say he won) decision. Bisping has Tiki Ghosn and Tiki Ghosn’s silly beard in his corner. The consensus on this fight is that Bisping is more skilled in every aspect of the game, but that Stann punches harder. Live updates after the jump:
Round 1- Bisping with a leg kick. Fighters clinch with some dirty boxing against the cage. Bisping gets the better of it. Fighters break. Bisping lands a right. Bisping with a leg kick. Bisping with a jab. Stan lands a right. Stan lands a right. Bisping with a right. Bisping lands a left hab. Stann with a shot to the body. Bisping is landing his jab easily. Snapping the head back. Bisping goes for a takedown, but Stann keeps it on the feet. Fighters clinch on the cage and Bisping is working knees. Bisping with a nice elbow, but eats a pair as they disengage. Bisping lands the jab, takes a leg kick. Bisping kicks Stann in the cock, but Stann says it doesn’t hurt and keeps fighting. Stann coming forward landing some shots. Hands are flying. Stann kicks Bisping in the dick. They’re even now. Bisping keeps landing the left. stan is snapping the leg kicks. Bisping lands a right, then a left. Kicks, but Stann catches the leg. Stan throwing a lot of kicks. Bisping lands that jab at will. Bisping tries for the takedown and gets tagged with a big right and is hurt badly, but grabs on to Stann as the round ends.
10–9 Stann for the big punch
Round 2- Bisping moving more, continuing to land the jab. Bisping fakes the punch and shoots, picks up Stann and slams into side control with four minutes and change left to work. Stann throws Bisping off and is now on the top in Bisping’s guard, but Bisping is already near the cage. Bisping looks to stand and gets hit in the headon the way up. Fighters lock up and Stann says he got a thumb in the eye, but the fight keeps going as Bisping shoves him back against the cage. Fighters break and Bisping lands the jab. Again with the jab. Right hand from Bisping. Stann lands a leg kick. Bisping lands the jab, shoots for the takedown and gets a slam into side control again. Bisping looking for a kimura, but changes to striking as the round ends.
10–9 Bisping
Round 3- Bisping lands the jab. Stann throws wild punches and misses. Bisping shoots again and Stann is up against the cage. Stann stands and ducks under a big bisping punch and returns fire. Bisping landing the jab. bisping lands the right. Bisping lands two jabs. Stann lands a hook. Stann throws a big right. Bisping shoots, but it is stuffed. Bisping throws a nice combination. Bisping lands a right. Bisping shoots again, but Stann stuffs it. Stann locks in a clinch and lands a nice knee to the body. Stann with a head kick, but it is blocked. Stann lands a body kick , but Bisping comes back with a pair of punches. Stann lands. Bisping shoots and throws a knee from the clinch after it is stuffed. Bisping gets the takedown and pops Stann when he stands up. Bisping goes for another takedown. Stand comes forward and tries to end it, but it is too late. The fighters hug.

Judges score it 29–28 Bisping unanimously
